Goals from Ollie Palmer, Elliot Lee, and Jack Marriott secured Wrexham an impressive home win on Saturday. Mullin, who came off the bench in the victory, said there was a terrific atmosphere in the ground – on what was a "splendid day" overall.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
After winning the National League and backing it up with automatic promotion out of League Two in two straight years, expectations have been high over what Wrexham can do in League One. But few would have expected they would be unbeaten from five games and sit top of the table – a feat they achieved after the Shrewsbury win. It is early days, but Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side have started superbly.
