Leeds are preparing for a trip to Leeds in the FA Cup third round this weekend, an event which marks ten years since their huge giant-killing of Manchester United.
The 1-0 win at Old Trafford thanks to Jermaine Beckford’s goal was undoubtedly one of the best events that happened to the club in the last decade, particularly as they were in League One at the time.
Any win over their bitter rivals is likely to be greatly appreciated by supporters but considering they play them so infrequently the win in 2010 is even more memorable.

Fans have been reminiscing about that great day with some describing it as “perfection” and “brilliant”, and considering Manchester United were amongst the best teams in the country at the time – having won the league three times between 2007-2009 – it is understandable that they feel such a way.
Leeds fans will be hoping for a similarly memorable moment in their trip to the Emirates on Monday, and given the contrasting form of each team, with the Whites in second place and the Gunners winning twice in 16 games, there is every chance the visitors could progress.
To do so they will need to produce quality akin to what Jonny Howson showed ten years ago, with some supporters taking time to praise his brilliant pass, which sent Beckford through on goal to slot the ball home.
